4 Mystery shots exposed

-The first photo is of my eye.
-The second photo is of my wife's eye.
-The third photo is of my wife's eye after being fully dilated by an extensive eye exam. (Not a cow eye...)
-The last is as guessed - the center of a rose.

  1. Dan, what do you shoot. Seems like you like a lot of macro. What is your story with photography?

  2. Hey Jon. I have a Canon PowerShot A710 IS. It's a 6x optical (20x now is available on other Canon models). I've talked with others and this camera has an exceptional Macro mode (Look at the favorite photos of 2009 and see the details of the fly face that I took: it's quite amazing).

So, yes, I do enjoy macro photography of almost anything. I'd love to have a SLR Cannon with a new Canon Macro lense, but for now I'm content with the set up that I have.

I do enjoy photography: photos of people, sports, flowers, sky shots, ... photos are great at communicating. :-)

How about you: do you like photography?

  3. I got into photography when we were in Michigan. I connected with a club that focused on nature photography. I loved it. I shot with a Nikon N80 and primarily shot slide film.

I have a Nikon DSLR now, but my main lens has been scratched. I'd like to get out in the field and shoot like I used to, but it hasn't happened since we move to TN.
